From my aunt's house to the Barcelona airport is such a long trip, we had to take bus, metro and subway! Woke up at 5am after going to bed at 1am! Made it to the airport on time, made it to Berlin, no problem. Air Berlin airplane is SO nice! loved it.
After landing to Berlin was my problem. I had never been in their train system before. I was so lost. It felt so long, I don't really want to go into all the detail, is kind of sad. Butttt thanks to some old couple that was also on the Barcelona flight, helped me get to my platform on Berlin Hauptbahnhopf u that my train would leave from. By the time I get there, they were already boarding and I just hurried and this german girl that was in front of me helped me with my bags. She also helped me to put it on the bag place on the train! Then, I had no idea where to sit and a lot of seats were reserved but she also helped me and I ended up sitting with her. She was so nice! Her name was Theresa Wolf. She was my angel.
I asked her where she was going and she was also going to Erfurt! So she helped me get off from the train, she took care of my big heavy luggage and I just followed her to take our connecting Train. I am so thankful for her. They changed the platform last minute and I would have never known since they said it in German on the speaker. But Theresa was a pro at traveling. She carried her big camping huge luggage on her back and pulled my big heavy luggage and guided me to our next train. We spent around 4 hours traveling together. She was so nice. She had just traveled to Morocco for a few weeks since she just wanted to get out of Europe and experience the world. She was definitely impacted by the culture there and love that the people there were so open and inviting and super lovely with her. We connected since I have also experience cultures like that. I think it was good to meet her and see her appreciate other cultures :) She even let me use her phone to let me contact the students in charge of picking me up. She was so nice. I took a picture with her but she doesn't want me to put it online...so if you are ever with me and want to see a picture of her, let me know haha.
Then we got to spend some time with the girls that were already here in the apartment, Charlotte and Miho. Charlotte is from France and Miho is from Japan! The girls are really nice and we all have accents of course haha, except for Cassandra. So far I have the other side of the room empty, pray that I get a good roomie! We also hanged out with Christian, UT guy that is also part of the part of the SPICE program. Tomorrow should be fun! goodnighttt :) I will explain in more detail tomorrow about the apartment and the city :)
