Cathedrals, Fountains and Johnny

I would so live here! This city is beautiful, beautiful. Today was super long! My feet hurt SO BAD! :( But it was fantasticcccc, so thankful to God!
I woke up at 7:30 and went running! Since it was Saturday and so early, there was no one on the streets and thankfully I didn’t have to stop so much on the lights, I got all green. Here to just cross the streets, even the narrow ones, there are lights only for the people crossing. So we have to wait for the green man so we can cross. During breakfast, I had “Patte,” which is liver cream? kinda like cream cheese but made with liver. I don’t like liver but this was surprisingly good. I was proud of myself to be willing to try it, even after they told me it was liver! My cousin Marisa called me in the morning, it was great to talk to her, she is so fun and encouraging :) Jhonny also called to tell us he had arrived but gotten robbed!!! They stole his ID and credit cards! Thankfully he still had some money with him and his camera and his clothes. We all went to see beautiful old churches, buildings and great infrastructure! We took tons of picture, like more than 300 and my camera ran out of battery. We ate an excellent lunch that was recommended by the New York Times. I am starting to understand the typical food of here, is very good.

Then we went to the light show at the fountains, so pretty! A great way to end a long day of sight seeing. Today was so fun, got to see a ton of cool stuff and learn history along the way! Great to see Jhonny after all these years, we laughed at our old memories, good times! We went by the Barcelona water fountain, that if you drink from it, you either come back to Barcelona or marry someone from here. But I refused to drink it haha. I do want to come back, but not because the fountain, idk it just sounds like some weird spell. But I have a picture with it haha. At the time the story of David came to mind, and how he and his friends were taking to a different city and did not eat the food so they wouldn’t contaminate with the food that was offered to other gods. I just kinda felt a similarity there, so it just didn’t feel right. I want to come back if God wants me to come back, not because some weird myth or whatever...
Anyways, today was a TON of walking but very fun! I am so tired, I don’t remember all of it, and is late already. I know I got to see the famous “Torre de Agua” building that looks like a bullet, and the famous fountain show, the “linterna” and the famous churches. I gotta go to sleep to have another long day tomorrow!
Blessings,
Cynth
