Prayer, Spaghetti & Festival

Our teacher is hilarious, he likes to pick on people. And of course the first day of class, he decides to tell the class my middle name just for the fun of it. For those of yall that don't know, my middle name is Beatriz. I never really liked it. And no one really knows about it. I think is funny that it comes up here in Germany, because my middle name comes after my greatgrandmother, her name was Beatriz. She was a native German. My father was always really close with her and he admired her a lot. She passed away shortly before I was born and my parents wanted to give one their daughters to carry her name. But it's kinda cool that it came up and it just remembered me that there is some part of me that is German! haha

Today's class was really cool, we had to play charades (kind of) to try to communicate. Our class is nonverbal communication, so it ties in!

After class, I felt like grilling some chicken and sausages. Our other roomies wanted to make some pasta, so our dinner was set! We spent like three hours just bonding. The topic of religion came up and we shared our different beliefs. One of our roomies is agnostic, so it was very interesting seeing what she believes in. I got to share with them why I believe in God and how I have seen Him work in my life and how there is no room for doubt, He is real. I loved the fact that God just made an amazing atmosphere for all of us to express without anyone having to feel attacked. The same friend also told us what she has been going through and even started crying. After listening, I asked her if I could pray for her and she agreed. She even said that maybe if that worked for me, it will work for her. So I am glad that she has an open mind, so please keep her in your prayers! My roomie Ariel was
there too and it was awesome to have another christian there for support! After, we got to share more moments that God has helped us through and how he is with us in our every day lives, every minute! :)

After, we went to the fair that Erfurt is hosting. We went with some of the German students that are in our class, they are so nice to hang out with us and just show us around! We had some vanilla ice cream with nutella, so good! It was really cool to see bands play and just everyone out in the middle of the town just having a great time!

We are going to Munich this weekend, SO EXCITED TO SEE THE CASTLES!
There is supposed to be rain this weekend there thou, so please pray for no rain!
Pray that our trip will go really smooth and everything according to God's plan. We are leaving at 5am in the morning!!!!

Love,

Cynth

  1. Great to know you are in Munich already. Please share a picture of your room mates, for sure they will be very important to you now and in the future, as for me. In BCN I lived with a British guy, a French girl and a Mexican girl, all of them were great to me and I still keep in touch with the girls... I read your blog and I feel as in my 20's again! be good and keep posting! hug
